JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
This role is part of the wider Strategic Marketing Services and will play a big part in maximising the return on investment (ROI/ROAS) from marketing initiatives, ultimately contributing to the company’s growth.
You will be managing a performance marketing executive and external agencies with a customer centric, data-driven, and A/B test mindset.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and management of digital marketing strategies across our build-to-rent properties and student accommodations across the UK and Europe, driving customer acquisition via paid search, paid social, programmatic, DOOH, CTV, organic search (SEO) and other relevant digital channels.
- Own the relationship with various media platforms such as Google, Meta, Stackadapt, Global/JcDecaux, and others, that resonate with the target audience to enhance campaign performance.
- Own and drive the performance of external agencies, ensuring they deliver against KPIs with minimal senior intervention. Regularly review agency output, challenge assumptions, and optimise performance to ensure maximum ROI.
- Act as a central driver of digital marketing projects, proactively aligning internal teams (customer marketing, sales, insights, design) to ensure seamless execution and measurable impact. Anticipate roadblocks and propose solutions before they escalate.
- Maintain and improve weekly detailed dashboards on asset performance, traffic, and conversions. Providing insights to leadership for strategic decision-making and growth opportunities.
- Define a market leading measurement and attribution solution alongside a robust test & learn roadmap to enable better business decisions. Including campaign and website tracking implementation via Google Tag Manager and our property management systems.
- Manage and forecast digital marketing budgets to ensure cost-effective omnichannel strategies.
- Lead the development of digital marketing playbooks (paid and SEO), ensuring scalable, repeatable best-in-class practices that improve efficiency and reduce the need for senior intervention in operational tasks.
- Manage performance marketing executives and senior executives as the team grows over time.
Experience & Skills:
- Strong experience working in a similar paid media, digital marketing or performance marketing role.
- A creative and innovative thinker with a flair for omnichannel strategies.

- Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines
- A strong problem solver with an inquisitive nature and the ability to understand the bigger picture.
- A highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative, solves problems independently, and drives projects forward with confidence. Able to make informed decisions without oversight.
- A passion for digital marketing and the delivery of exceptional customer centric campaigns, media plans and SEO roadmaps.
- The ability to work with people with different backgrounds, with different responsibilities and beliefs.
- Experience managing multiple projects and agencies simultaneously, with a track record of delivering results with minimal senior involvement.
- Proven ability to anticipate challenges, suggest solutions, and execute digital marketing initiatives with a test-and-learn mindset.

"Working at Greystar has been an eye opening experience. From day one my supervisors have been enthusiastic and attentive to everything I need to be great at my job. I feel appreciated and know that I’m an important asset to them. Everyday I’m encouraged to improve my knowledge and develop new financial skills while being excited to do so. I was also nervous transitioning from the Marine Corps into the civilian workforce, but with the support of the Greystar accounting family that transition has been much easier."
