Job Responsibilities

Greystar is a market leading, fully integrated real estate company offering expertise in investment, development, and property management of rental residential properties globally. The European business is rapidly growing, and currently covers The Netherlands, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Spain, and France. In France, Greystar is about to launch a new property – a student building in La Défense and this will be one of a few new buildings to launch over the next 2-3 years.

In this role we will create opportunities for you to grow in all areas of marketing, becoming a strategic lead for omni-channel marketing plans. This includes Growth Marketing, PR, media buying, web & digital experience, campaigns, social media, and reviews. You will be reporting to the Direct, Marketing Europe and running your own projects across the full marketing mix including budget creation and management.

The Brand and Marketing department are a truly international team with a central platform. You will be able to work closely with employees across Europe of key projects to deliver operational excellence and build Greystar’s brand presence in our markets.


JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Summary

The Marketing Executive role supports the Brand & Marketing team and broader business in executing tactical marketing plans for our brands (first building under Canvas). Drives brand loyalty, occupancy and leads to achieve optimum leasing and financial performance in line with Company’s business development plans. The goal is the highest possible customer satisfaction and brand awareness for operational assets through brand and lease-up strategies that match (future) residents’ requests. 

Working in an international team within France (in Paris), with a European scope and international counterparts in America and APAC. 

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Supports the Director to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to achieve company objectives and targets. This includes: 
  • Campaigns – creation of strong brand and product level (on and offline) campaigns. Applying effective tracking of campaign activity and monitoring success. 
  • Social Media management – overseeing social media agency posts and management of community alongside supporting on own creation of content, content ideas and occasional post creation in collaboration with the Social Media Manager.
  • Content creation and management – Create and oversee creation of engaging content for various marketing channels, including social media, email campaigns, and websites. 
  • Email campaigns – Manage CRM activity, monitoring success of campaigns and adapting for effecting lead-nurture via MailChimp. 
  • Website - Responsible for content updates on our brand websites (Canvas to start), ensuring relevant and up-to-date information is included. Work closely with Digital Experience Team to understand website performance and support on content changes to improve performance in customer journey, conversions, accessibility and in line with latest customer insights. 
  • Support our internal Customer Insights Team to deliver market research. Conduct your own research and reading into the marketplace to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for growth. 
  • Responsible for the creation of event plans for each of our assets working closely with the Operations team to agree themes and opportunities based on knowledge of the customer living with us and audience segments.  
  • Coordinate and promote events via the relevant marketing and communication channels. And attend various resident events and promotions throughout the year to ensure quality of delivery, capturing of content for social posts and blogs, and reports. 
  • Work collaboratively with Community/Property Managers on-site. Seek to understand their business needs and customer barriers and create tactical strategies to improve customer experiences.  
  • Support the Director with corporate PR executions, and delivery of corporate events relating to promotion of our products/developments. This can be launches or industrywide events. 
  • Be a brand advocate for all Greystar brands, ensuring brand consistency outside of the marketing teams supporting, and training, onsite and commercial teams. 
  • Analyze marketing data and metrics to evaluate campaign performance and optimize strategies accordingly. 
  • Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to stay ahead of the curve. 
  • Monitor review platforms via Reputation.com and provide reports and find ways to improve and adapt customer experiences to increase our CSAT scores – high CSATs are part of the company targets for all departments.  
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and partners to support marketing initiatives. 
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in digital marketing to innovate and improve marketing efforts. 
  • Support effective financial management in Greystar following PO processes, monitoring, and reporting on budget spend and optimizing spend in line with achievement of targets.

  • Follows established policies and procedures by monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and operational processes related to area(s) of responsibility and reporting violations or infractions to appropriate individual(s). 
  • Demonstrates appropriate safe behaviors in accordance with Company, property, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards by immediately reporting any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, employee/visitor/resident injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to appropriate individual(s). 
  • Identifies areas for improvement and offers suggestions and/or acts on opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity. 
  • Keeps abreast of current changes in technology, processes, and standards within the industry and area(s) of responsibility by attending internal and external training classes, research and/or subscribing to the internet or other professional publications or utilizing other appropriate method(s) to obtain business and professional information and applies knowledge and practices to area(s) of responsibility. 

Role Scope

  • Reports into the Director, Marketing Continental Europe. 
  • This role acts as a key contact in France for internal staff and external stakeholders relating to Marketing initiatives and department operational policies. 

Key Relationships

  • This role will regularly interact with departments and senior stakeholders across Marketing, Design, Sales, Property Operation teams. 
  • This role will liaise with our external marketing agencies and suppliers. 

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) with a marketing or communication focus; or by equivalent experience.  
  • IT literate and fully conversant with all Outlook and Microsoft packages. 
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills necessary for accurate budget administration and reporting on marketing ROI (return on investment) 

Experience & Skills

  • Execution of marketing strategies, understanding of marketing campaigns, social media, websites, content executions. 
  • Experienced in managing external agencies. 
  • Some experience in event planning and management – e.g., product launch. 
  • Experienced in managing your time and workload. 
  • Innovative thinker and passioned about marketing. 
  • Professional level presentation and reporting skills. 

Essential

  • Fluent in writing and speaking French and English. 
  • Confident knowledge of google analytics, different social media platforms and other content channels. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (English and desirable German or Dutch); including the ability to effectively write and present reports and information to support strategic business decisions. 
  • Great eye for detail with creative flair and confidence to critique own work and others. 
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.  
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines  
  • A strong problem solver with an inquisitive nature and the ability to understand the bigger picture.  
  • A strong team player.  
  • A passion for marketing and the delivery of exceptional customer service.  
  • The ability to work with people with different backgrounds, with different responsibilities and beliefs. 

Desirable:

  • Other languages 
  • Experience working within the property, hospitality, office, retail, or leisure sectors.  
  • Experience working in a marketing or communications agency.
