JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Manager, Sustainability and Project Management plays a pivotal role in driving Greystar Spain sustainability and capital project initiatives. This role combines strategic leadership and hands-on execution across Capital projects, Sustainability, Utilities, while also leading GRESB reporting among others.
The Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Investments, Development, Operations, and Corporate Services to embed sustainability principles into asset lifecycle planning and ensure the successful delivery of value-add and compliance-driven capital works. The role requires strong project management capabilities, deep understanding of ESG frameworks, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder environments.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading sustainability strategy and execution across portfolios.
  • Develop and maintain ESG policies and procedures.
  • Embed sustainability principles into development and construction projects.
  • Manage GRESB submissions and improvement strategies.
  • Oversee carbon tracking and sustainability KPIs.
  • Coordinate science-based targets and decarbonization pathways.
  • Deliver quarterly and annual ESG reporting.
  • Recommend sustainability budgets at asset and portfolio levels.
  • Managing capital improvement projects, e.g. energy efficiency, fire safety, value add...
  • Manage operational risk projects
  • Overseeing utility performance and strategy
  • Driving procurement processes and budget planning for ESG and CapEx initiatives.
  • Supporting Operational Standard Management (OSM) and Underwriting (UW) teams with technical and sustainability insights.
  • Support smooth post sale strategy

Knowledge & Skills:

Essential:

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across all levels.
  • Proven project management and sustainability leadership.
  • Experience with ESG reporting and sustainability data systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
  • Strong numeracy and financial reporting skills.
  • Experience managing external contractors and consultants.
  • Ability to lead complex projects through full lifecycle.

Desirable:

  • Background in real estate or residential housing sustainability.
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
  • Strong network of industry professionals.
