JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
JOB DESCRIPTION
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a Sr. Financial Analyst-related occupation. Position requires the following: Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to navigate, manipulate, and analyze large datasets by using complex functions; and the ability to perform high-volume financial modeling and data analysis with speed and precision; Demonstrable knowledge of corporate valuation methodologies, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, sum-of-the-parts, and probability-weighted expected return methods, and the ability to apply these frameworks to evaluate enterprise value, assess peer and competitor valuations, and perform relative and intrinsic valuation analyses; Demonstrable experience applying co-investment accounting fundamentals, including various accounting methods (cumulative earnings, cost basis, adjusted cost basis, equity, FMV), non-controlling interests, consolidation of majority-held entities, and allocation of income and distributions among joint venture partners; and the ability to interpret financial statements and underlying schedules reflecting these structures to assess ownership, performance, and reporting implications; Must have demonstrable experience with real estate investment fundamentals, with the ability to apply industry terminology and financial concepts including capital stack structure, distribution waterfalls, asset- and fund-level fees, carried interest arrangements, and deal-level economics to evaluate investment performance and partner returns; Demonstrable knowledge of investment accounting and cash flow forecasting to assume full responsibility for updating complex resource-intensive life-of-fund models with minimal oversight; Demonstrable experience presenting complex financial analyses and reports directly to C-suite executives, including materials covering co-investment performance, balance sheet exposure, cash flow projections, investment structuring, and variance analysis, ensuring clear communication of key financial insights and business impacts; Demonstrable knowledge of Quarterly and Annual US Bureau of Economic Analysis reporting, including an ability to interpret and analyze organizational structures and entity hierarchies, and understand intercompany relationships and fund flows between domestic and international entities; Demonstrable experience in the ability to review, interpret and synthesize complex legal documents such as term loan and credit agreements, equity fundraising and equity upside agreements, LLC operating agreements, and stock purchase agreements; and the ability to extrapolate legal and financial implications to equity holders, debt holders, and lenders; Demonstrable experience analyzing and underwriting private market transactions, including private equity and venture capital investments; and knowledge of fund structures, capital commitments, waterfall distributions, and valuation practices, and demonstrate the ability to interpret and utilize terminology standard to private market deal execution. Additional Compensation:
Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.
Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
