Sr. Business Intelligence Developer


Independent application of business intelligence with ETL, data modeling, analytics, development, and support while effectively communicating business requirements and design with technical and non-technical internal and external customers.


Job Description

  • Mentor and provide actionable feedback aligning with people’s goals, strengths, and motivators

  • Evaluate complex business processes and existing standards; apply them to rapidly changing business requirements

  • Database data modeling with efficient and responsive design

  • Manage project requirements, design, effort, dependencies, progress, and target dates

  • Adhere and participate in the development of standards adopting to technology changes

  • Timely support complex service requests with situational communication

  • Extensively understand and define the operations of data reported to our customers

  • Document data and business changes

  • Independent resolution

  • Determine prioritization by organizational importance

  • Integrate data in and out of third-party systems

  • Collaborate with internal and external customers within various roles and departments

  • Quality assurance of integrations and new development

  • Continuous training and knowledge sharing of technologies

  • Peer code share review and development life cycle

  • Custom reporting and ad hoc analysis

  • Flexibility to participate in dissimilar job functions, such as: web development, graphics design, analysis, and database administration

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Business Intelligence data modeling

  • 5+ years of Microsoft T-SQL

  • 3+ years of Visual Studio

  • Reporting writing (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Birst, SSRS)

  • Kanban Agile methodology and/or traditional waterfall project management

  • ETL through T-SQL, Boomi, SSIS, or console applications

  • Preferred coding experience with Python and/or C#

  • Preferred web development ASP.NET Core, JavaScript, jQuery

  • Preferred Excel data analysis

  • Employment history that demonstrates data analysis, project management, and business leadership

  • College degree in information systems, business systems, or related field and/or equivalent work experience in a similar role

Depending on the position offered, regular full-time and part-time team members may be eligible to participate in a bonus program in addition to their base salary.  Once eligible,  team members may participate in the 401k plan.  Regular, full-time team members are also offered a  range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits from which to choose.
