Key Job Responsibilities
Access the Company’s data analytics platforms, database systems, and other sources of internal and external marketing data, and perform detailed analysis to interpret findings and identify trends, issues, and other insights that can inform and drive marketing-related decisions, strategies, and tactics.
Create, design, and develop compelling reports, data visualizations, narratives, dashboards, and other documents and provide robust reporting packages to real estate leaders and other stakeholders to enable and support effective marketing planning and decision-making.
Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and addressing potential issues with databases, platforms, and reports, and support the Marketing Analytics team by recommending and introducing new tools, processes, systems, and other methods to automate report, streamline efficiencies, and ensure data quality.
Design and implement analytical tests to evaluate strategy effectiveness, and create campaign and website performance reports as needed and requested.
Maintain productive and supportive relationships with key stakeholders, respond with urgency to requests for reports, data analysis, and other assistance, and participate in and lead discussions to present and review the findings and information contained in reports to key stakeholders.
Participate and/or lead Marketing Analytics projects, initiatives, and efforts required for future testing and improved measurement, or to improve and enhance the products, services, and supports it provides to the business, and represent the department on other cross-functional efforts to evolve and improve the Company’s data analytics and business intelligence capabilities.
Evaluate and implement changes within Google Accounts to create consistency and ensure accuracy across Greystar properties.
Foster relationships with vendors and web tagging developers in proper strategy for maintaining and implementing web tags based on best practices.
Maintain an ongoing knowledge of concepts, practices, and advancements in the areas of marketing, business intelligence, and performance analytics and stay abreast of emerging trends, systems, platforms, and other developments that may influence the performance analytics area.
Build, establish, and access a network of experts and professionals inside and outside of the industry and attend or participate in conferences, professional associations, and other events that contribute to professional growth.
Follow and comply with the Company’s established operating, systems, financial, and human resources policies and procedures, and meet Company and departmental standards and requirements that specifically pertain to the department and business area.
Practice proper safety techniques, follow the Company’s risk and safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any team member or visitor injuries, accidents, or other safety-related issues to the appropriate individual(s).
Identify and offer suggestions for ways to improve the area and department’s efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and overall contributions to the Company.
Incumbents will work in a Greystar or home-office, or a hybrid model.
Incumbents must be able to view computer screens, paper documents, reports, and other written materials for extended periods of time where visual strain may result.
Occasional travel within the US may be required to attend business meetings, training sessions, conferences, or other situations necessary to accomplish all or parts of the daily responsibilities of this position.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in experience in marketing, business intelligence and data analytics, database management, or related field.
Solid knowledge and experience in digital marketing across social, display, and programmatic platforms, with a grounded understanding of key concepts and practices around digital and web-based marketing techniques and practices.
Two to four years’ experience with reading and using various analytical and reporting tools, such as PowerBI, Tableau, Google Analytics, Data Studio, and BigQuery.
Strong analytical skills and ability to work through large quantities and sources of data to identify and interpret findings, trends, and results. Skilled in creating detailed but compelling and easy-to-understand reports, narratives, graphic illustrations, dashboards, and other documents that explain complex data in a digestible and actionable fashion.
Hands on expertise using website analytics tools such as Google Analytics and experience with tag management systems, such as Google Tag Manager.
Ability to complete developer testing/QA for current and future tag manager workspaces.
Good project management skills and experience in leading complex projects and initiatives that may include working with diverse teams from different discipline areas. Ability to plan, organize, manage, and direct a project team, track and monitor progress, and meet established deadlines and budgets.
Effective interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to use Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS, and ability to make effective presentations to diverse audiences.
Knowledge of GA4 and future proof plan to migrate away from Universal Analytics.
Depending on the position offered, regular full-time and part-time team members may be eligible to participate in a bonus program in addition to their base salary.
