The 2024 Summer Intern for the Innovation Team withing the Office of COO Summer Intern will focus on incubating a new venture inside of Greystar, as well as assisting the Innovation Team in performing its four primary functions for all of Greystar:


JOB DESCRIPTION

New Venture Incubation  

The intern will assist the new venture team in delivering a new service offering for our US property management clients in the ESG space. This project will require the intern to demonstrate strong skills in: 

  • Quantitative Analytics 
  • Client Communications and Consulting  
  • Project Management 
  • Business Development 

Solution/Vendor Tracking and Assessment 

  • Assess vendor/startups and cataloguing capabilities and data around defined criteria

  • Track customer and business needs along with potential solutions or vendors in each area of need

  • Conduct competitive analysis of vendors within an Area of Innovation 

Pilot Support 

  • Support business leaders by project managing in-flight pilots and work with pilot vendors and properties to ensure a smooth pilot process

  • Coordinate, collect and analyze pilot results, both quantitative (e.g., metrics, KPIs,) and qualitative (e.g., user feedback, lessons learned, etc.) 

  • Develop case studies with quantitative (e.g., revenue and cost impact) and qualitative (e.g., customer and team member feedback) analysis

Thought leadership and Communications

  • Create presentations and communication artifacts for various internal stakeholders

  • Consolidate and curate reporting on emerging proptechtrends

  • Craft thought leadership on Innovation Opportunity Areas (e.g., Smart IOT Apartments) including case studies / house views

  • Assist in preparing materials in response to client, investor, and internal requests for thought leadership

Other Responsibilities:

  • Completesvarioushumanresources,financial,administrative,andotherreportsandanalysis,andperformsotherdutiesasassignedorasnecessary.

Education:

MBA candidate with a bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related major preferred.

Compensation is based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, may be eligible for a discretionary weekly, monthly and/or quarterly bonus based on budget.
